Most of us have at least one cousin,
Many of us, more than a dozen.
A cousin may be - first, second, or third,
Nobody told you, the size of your herd.
Sometimes cousins are twice removed,
That's when generation gaps, have been proved.
This poem is not meant to confuse,
Share with a cousin, you get to choose.
Figuring out how you're related,
Often ends up - being debated
Separation is seven degrees,
Between you, and the fool in the trees.
Today I say to you, dear cousin
In honour of your birth
You've been around a long long while
Here on planet Earth.
You're now, I’m afraid, over the hill
And on the downward part
Your body is showing signs of wear
But you're still young at heart
A message for your birthday
Have a happy one;
Laughter makes the world go round
Let’s have some cousin fun.
To my best buddy, cousin
You’re more like my Bro'
I'll be there by your side
Celebrating, "Let's go-go!”
As your life floats on, dear cousin
The days rush into years
Your birthday is one of life’s pitstops
To raise a glass and shout “cheers”
Happy birthday my dear cousin
Today, on your special date
You have another year to live
And a bright future to anticipate
Hey cousin, having a fun birthday
That certainly gets my vote
Filled with food and booze and everything
That really floats your boat
Cousin you’re an inspiration
Sure you are, it’s true
Have a fantastic birthday celebration
Happy birthday to you
May your day score ten out of twelve
Nay, make it the full dozen
Nothing is too good today
Happy Birthday, Cousin
Happy Birthday Cousin
Now your birthday's here
it's the perfect time
to tell you how great it is
that we're part of the same family
Having a cousin as special as you
means a lot and so many people
are proud to have you in their lives.
May your special day remind you
just how much you are thought of
today and always.
Happy Birthday
